Lake Bolac is a small town located between Ballarat and Hamilton and an ideal place to go camping fishing and boating in the beautiful freshwater lake (Lake Bolac)
The Lake Bolac CaravanPark is an established park on the shores of Lake Bolac and is one of the cheapest caravan parks in Victoria. All sites are powered, but if you choose not to “plugin”, the rate is cheaper. There are lots of shady grassed sites available as well as a dump point on site. The park offers a children’s playground and water play area, 2 camp kitchens, including BBQ and Pizza Oven, laundry, disabled facilities, children’s bath and hot showers.
The park can accommodate big rigs, caravans, and tents. Drive through sites are available and there are basic cabins as well as Self Contained cabins for alternative accommodations.
The caravan park is surrounded by sporting facilities that include a 9 hole golf course, bowling club, 25-meter public swimming pool, footy oval, cricket, and netball courts.
A Pub, supermarket, and other shops are in walking distance of 900 meters.

THINGS TO DO
While staying at the park, look out for the owner’s 2 very talented dogs. One who bullfights and the other who sings. Also a visit to the sports complex is highly recommended.
Try a round of golf on the quality 9 hole golf course with turf greens or have a game of tennis as they have 8 plexi pave tennis courts for hire. With a bowling green, squash courts, football oval, netball courts, and cricket nets there is plenty to do to keep you and the kids amused. Also, play equipment and a solar-heated swimming pool are available.
The shallow freshwater lake contains a number and fish species including trout, redfin, short-finned eels, and estuary perch. The lake is a great place to swim or just take the boat for a spin. You can have a BBQ on the foreshore or just sit and enjoy the view as the Grampians National park is within easy driving distance.
