THINGS TO DO
Standown Park is  24km from Gympie, home of The Gympie Gold Mining & Historical Museum and plenty of shops and markets. Gympie is also home to the Mary Valley Rattler a restored steam train which transports you through the picturesque Marr Valley to Amamoor and back. We then have the beautiful Rainbow beach close by which has 4 x 4 access down to Double Island point and then onto the Noosa Northshore. This is also where the ferry goes to K’Gari, Fraser Island the largest sand island in the world and World Heritage Listed. Fraser Island’s World Heritage listing ranks it with Australia’s Uluru, Kakadu and the Great Barrier Reef.  We are also a short drive from Tin Can bay famous for the early morning feed of the local dolphins at Barnacles Dolphin centre, you can also enjoy a round of golf and a game of bowls at the Country club as well as a superb Chinese restaurant.
