THINGS TO DO

With the amazing forests nearby, there is a wonderful timber heritage in the area of Manjimup. Make sure you visit the King Jarrah Tree, Gloucester Tree and Diamond Tree Lookout. A short drive takes you to the One Tree Bridge, Glenoran Pool and 4 Aces, giving insight into the engineering ingenuity of the early twentieth century.

The area is ideal for bird watching and there are many walking trails in the local bushland, forests and the nearby Shannon National Park. Mountain bike riding and horse riding activities are also possible in these areas. Trout and marron fishing (permits apply) is also popular with the locals.

A short drive from town is the popular Fonty’s Pool. Created in 1925 by Archie Fontanini as a pool to irrigate his vegetables, it soon became a favourite picnic spot and a great place to enjoy a summertime swim.

Manjimup is a very successful truffle-growing region, and is home to a number of wineries and truffle companies. For a bite to eat, visit one of our great local wineries or try one of the restaurants or cafes in town.

For those interested in the history of of Manjimup, a visit to Dingup Church and the Pioneer Cairn is highly recommended. You can also visit the Pemberton Tramway and historic cemetery. The Visitors Centre is located in the heart of town and is open 7 days a week.

Fantastic park we go to at least once a year. Management are so friendly and it is pet friendly which is a bonus for us travelling with our 3 dogs. So much to do in the area. A very peaceful, quiet park beautifully maintained. The ablution block and laundry are kept spotless at all times. The Deli attached to the park is fantastic offering all sorts of foods catering to all and if there’s something they don’t have, the park is right opposite a woolies. The surrounding areas like Pemberton have much to offer also with multiple wineries, a brewery, the Big Brook Dam provides a stunningly picturesque walk and the Lavender Berry Farm offer a wonderful famous pancake with ice cream and berry sauce which you will not be disappointed by. There is also a Pemberton Tram Tour which is well worth the money and dogs ride free! We will continue to remain loyal to this fantastically located park in Manjimup.
