Many showgrounds offer affordable and convenient locations to camp, especially for larger RV’s. Many will also permit pets. However, many showgrounds are closed at certain times of the year due to the Annual Show or other events. It is always best to check their website or call ahead to avoid disappointment.
Kingaroy Showgrounds offer wide open areas for powered and unpowered camping with room for any size of rig. There are large amenities blocks and pets are welcome.
No tents, swags or sleeping in cars.
HOW TO GET THERE
Kingaroy is on the Bunya Highway 111km North of Dalby. The Showgrounds are 600m on the left, North of the roundabout when entering town from the South.
SITE ACCESS
Enter via caravan park entry, on 31 Youngman street. Please keep to the left and stop at the office to check in.

THINGS TO DO
Kingaroy is famous for being the heart of peanut Country and the huge silos which dominate the townscape are for peanuts, not Wheat. Peanut vendors are located on the major entrances to town and you can take a drive around the local area to see where the crops are grown.
