We booked in for 8 nights. When we arrived the lady (Karen) wasn’t very helpful. There were very few there. Caters mainly for permanents. 90% gravel and dirt. No grassed sites. We were placed on a large site without power so the Manager used a long extension from behind a permanent site to our caravan. There is no internet or kitchen and the BBQ was closed and dirty (covid rules prevented it from being used we were told. If you use it, I’ll have to clean it she said). The toilet urinal had the cistern removed and the tiled floor had ben partly repaired with odd tiles. The laundry obviously had the same problem but some of the floor tiles had been removed and placed at the back (with dust and dirt) some time ago without being replaced. We had an ensuite Caravan so we were prepared for anything. On the 4th morning at 10.45 the Govt. announced country travel would stop at midnight. We had to pack up and leave and get back to Adelaide that night. Karen called to our Caravan and asked us if we were leaving. She said we could leave at any time and after asking her, she agreed to give us credit for the remaining nights. We said we would leave later that day to get home by 7pm to miss the heavy afternoon traffic. No Problems she said. We left at 3.45pm. We received an E-Mail the following day giving us only 3 nights credit, not 4. I replied to the E-Mail and said we should get 4 nights credit. The reply was that under Park rules we had to vacate by 10am to avoid being charged for that night. How could we be out by 10 when we only found out at 10.45 and being advised by Karen at 11am and not being told then that we would forfeit the night? I conveyed my disappointment and asked her to reconsider but have had no reply. I won’t be going back there and I am telling family, friends and others that it’s not a very good place to stay and to go elsewhere like Wallaroo, Moonta etc. who have much better Parks and facilities. We had stayed at Stansbury Caravan Park for 6 nights before going to Kadina and loved it there. Definitely going back there. We want to enjoy our stays at Caravan Parks and even though we have the 3 night credit we won’t use them. It wouldn’t be enjoyable.
