Many showgrounds offer affordable and convenient locations to camp, especially for larger RV’s. Many will also permit pets. However, many showgrounds are closed at certain times of the year due to the Annual Show or other events. It is always best to check their web site or call ahead to avoid disappointment.
HOW TO GET THERE
Jericho is on the Capricorn Highway between Alpha and Barcaldine. Entering from the East cross the railiway the first time and halfway around the left curve turn right into Furbers Road, after 450m bear right into Showgrounds Road into the site. From the West proceed through town and after crossing the railway the second time turn left where the Highway curves right then continue as above.
SITE ACCESS
The road leads directly into the Showgrounds/Racecourse area.
FEES & BOOKINGS
Fees are $10/night unpowered or $15 with power. Weekly rates are $50 with power
