There are a total of 60 sites at this location. The location is suitable for Caravans, Camper Trailers, Camping beside my vehicle, and Tents.

Set on the western side of Diamond Head, Indian Head campground is a relaxed place to pitch a tent before your explorations of Crowdy Bay National Park begin.
A couple of the park’s walking tracks leave from the campground, including the scenic Forest walk and the longer Diamond Head Loop walk.

The beach is not far from the campground and is a great place for a spot of beach cricket or football. You might even see some of the park’s birdlife, like jabirus and pied oystercatchers. Of an evening, you can hear the crash of the ocean and if you are lucky, you might see some of the park’s kangaroos at dusk.

SITE ACCESS
Unsealed road/trail – 2WD vehicles – All weather.
Indian Head campground is in the northern section of Crowdy Bay National Park. Access is via Diamond Head Road.

Please note: GPS Co-Ordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you as close to the camp site as possible, or to the National Park entrance. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.

FEES & BOOKINGS
Camping $10 per adult per night. $5 per child per night. Other Annual pass or daily vehicle entry fee of $7 also required.
No bookings are taken for this campground. The campground operates on a first-in, first-served basis. Pay and display system applies. Please visit the caretaker’s cottage located at Diamond Head campground and pay before pitching your tent. Contact the parks office only for specific enquiries.

Some National Parks require Fees to Enter the Park. For full details see PASSES & FEES.

Water is not available at this campground so you’ll need to bring your own supply.
Firewood is available for sale at the park office at Diamond Head campground and shouldn’t be collected from the park.
