Hotel Coopernook is an iconic hotel on the Lansdowne River. Travellers are welcome here as the place is RV and Caravan friendly. Recently purchased by Ken and Jan Rowe, the hotel has undergone significant renovations and upgrades, to the bar, dining room, accommodation areas and the beer garden make ones visit to the hotel more enjoyable. Their bistro serves quality, well presented and good value meals. Catering for locals and visitors, it is open for lunch 7 days a week and for dinner Tuesday through to Saturday.
HOW TO GET THERE
Coopernook is situated 20km north of Taree on the Mid-North Coast of NSW, the Hotel Coopernook is 2km off the newly constructed Pacific Highway. Roughly 3.5 hours drive north of Sydney. The towns of Forster and Port Macquarie are 40 mins drive away.
SITE ACCESS
Signs on the highway indicate the northern and southern entrances to the village. Upon reaching the end of George Gibson Dr, you’ll see Hotel Coopernook on your right side facing Lansdowne River.

THINGS TO DO
There are various reasons why you should visit this place. Coopernook State Forest on the hills behind the township and its many scenic lookouts and waterfalls the “Three Brothers” to the north, and Crowdy Bay and Harrington to the east, Coopernook is adjacent to the Lansdowne river which runs into the mighty Manning river. With over 150km of navigable waterways, the town’s newly completed riverside park includes BBQ facilities, boat ramp, and floating pontoon all outside the hotel.
