Hertrich Park (RA)

An very spacious rest area located only 800m from the town centre. Hertrich Park is a large level grassy area with an adjoining Dog Exercise Area. There are plenty of shady spots under tress, as well as open sunny spots for those who need solar. It caters for all size rigs, and it is easy to find a level surface. It is spacious, so you won’t be on top of other vans. It is a very relaxed and peaceful site.
SITE ACCESS: The site has good access direct off the Esk-Hampton Road, but you can park far enough into the site that it minimises traffic noise.

BOOKINGS: No bookings required, first in choice of sights.

FACILITIES: There are no toilet or shower facilities, but the is a picnic table, shelter and a tap for water. The nearest dump point is located at the Esk Caravan Park.
There is a water filling station across the road just before the entrance to the Show Grounds. It is 50cents per 150 litres.

THINGS TO DO: Esk is a pictur-esk old railway town that sits below the Glen Rock Monolith. It sits on the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail. It has a large variety of heritage buildings that now house a variety of modern business, cafes, antique shops and galleries. It is a very dog friendly town with a large dog exercise area at Hertrich park and several cafes that permit dogs on the premises. There is also the Brisbane Valley Ostrich and Fish Farm to visit and the markets are held in the park every Saturday.
