THINGS TO DO
Overland Corner Hotel is a historic building rich in character and charm. It is a fantastic place to stop and rest near the river. The historic building was erected in 1859, and since that time has served as a staging point, a general store, a police station, and even the local Post Office. Behind the hotel is a free overnight rest area which adjoins the Heron Bend Wetland, adjacent to the Murray River.
Walking the Overland Corner Trail is also a great experience as it leads to the quarry, where the stone used in the building construction was cut, to a cemetery, copper mine, lookout, ochre quarry, canoe tree, Aboriginal campsites, and cliff-top lookout.
