Rest areas are there for you to rest, making your trip safer and more enjoyable.
Rest areas are not long-term camping sites. However, motorists are able to take extended rest breaks at some sites. Rules on the length of stay at rest areas vary between controlling authorities.
Caravans and motorhomes are not considered heavy vehicles, and should not stop at heavy vehicle locations.
Please note: Rest areas are not designed to be camping grounds or caravan parks. Using rest areas for multiple overnight stays as part of a planned itinerary is not in keeping with their intended purpose. Those needing facilities for an extended stay are encouraged to look for camping areas or caravan parks in towns along the way.
FRC is still in the process of obtaining more information about this site.

Stayed at the Caravan Park parked on the white rocks unpowered. Amenities were good for those who needed them, however we were self sufficient. Had a great overnight stay in this tiny town. Bought a rolled roast beef from the store and took it home frozen. What delicious meat it was! Spent $200 in town by buying meat, T Shirts, and spending a few hours drinking in the pub. Money well spent and I have to say a little cash injection to the town. So many people just don’t spend a coin in places like this. Just buy an ice cream, as a local called David said. I know that fuel is expensive at this time, therefore travellers are cautious about spending, understood. Would return here in a heart beat and spend more time exploring and fishing next time.
