Number of sites: 5 separate and numbered sites.
Camp site surface: sand.

SITE ACCESS
The first camp site is located 500 m north of the camping information shelter. The last one is near the mouth of Bluemetal Creek, 1.4 km from the camping information shelter.
Turn off the Bruce Highway at Mirriwinni, 65 km south of Cairns, and follow the road for 17 km to Bramston Beach. Turn left into Sassafras Street and travel along the unsealed road for 5.5 km to the entrance of Russell River National Park. From the park boundary, the unsealed road continues 1.4 km to the mouth of the Bluemetal Creek. This road is bounded by the creek on one side and the beach on the other.
Access to the park is by four-wheel-drive vehicles only. Care should be taken on the sandy road within the park as passing cars may get bogged.

Please note: GPS Coordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you to the entrance. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.
