Goldsborough Valley Campground- Wooroonooran National Park (CG)

The Goldsborough Valley (Bora Ground camp) camping area is situated on the banks of the Mulgrave River and is surrounded by rainforest.
Suitable for: Tent or camper trailers only
Shade: Partial
Number of sites: large open area that can accommodate five groups (max 40 people).
Camp site surface: grass and dirt.

SITE ACCESS
The camp site is past the day-use area, over the causeway.
From Cairns
Travel 24 km south of Cairns to Gordonvale and turn right onto the Gillies Highway. Continue along the highway for about 6 km and turn left at the signposted Goldsborough Valley turn-off. Cross Peets Bridge and continue for 16 km through farms and cane fields to the Goldsborough Valley camping and day-use areas. The last 5 km of this road is unsealed but well graded, although it can be slippery in wet conditions. It is suitable for conventional vehicles with caution. Drive slowly and watch for wildlife and oncoming traffic. It is not recommended for caravans, buses or trailers.
From Atherton
Drive through Yungaburra and down the Gillies Highway. Turn right at the signposted turn-off to Goldsborough Valley, then follow the directions as above.
The road into Goldsborough Valley may be closed during the wetter months (November to April) or after heavy rain.

Please note: GPS Coordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you to the entrance. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.

FEES & BOOKINGS
Camping permits are required and fees apply. A camping tag with your booking number must be displayed at your campsite. This is an e-permit camping area-all camping must be booked in advance: self-registration is no longer available. Camping is only permitted in the camping area/camp site(s) you have booked.
Fees for camping permits are:
$6.55 per person per night or $26.20 per family group per night.
$3.60 per person per night for students and accompanying adults on approved excursions.
FAMILY RATE. For camping fees, a family group is defined as one or two adults and accompanying children under 18, up to a total of 8 people. Children under 5 years of age are free.

FACILITIES
Flush and composting toilets, wood and gas barbecues and individual fire rings.

RULES
Keep to defined vehicle tracks and walking trails.
Camp in designated areas to avoid damage to fragile vegetation.
Take rubbish home with you – if you carry it in, carry it out.
