Glen Davis Campground is a beautiful quiet spot located in a small town full of history. The site is accessible to caravans and camper trailers with area suitable for tents. The campground provides hot showers, laundry facilities, water, picnic shelters, and wood fuel bbq.
Please note that Glen Davis has no store or fuel supplies, the closest is Capertee, so please bring all supplies with you.
HOW TO GET THERE
Glen Davis is at the inner entrance to the beautiful Capertee Gorge and is best reached via Glen Davis Road form Capertee on the Castlereagh Highway. The turn off is directly opposite the Capertee Rest Area. There is still several kms of gravel road into Glen Davis as of late 2015 but it is slowly being sealed.
Cross the Capertee River entering Glen Davis and then bear right (Boutique hotel on left) and turn right into Market Place; the campground is straight ahead at the end.
FEES & BOOKINGS
There is no charge for the use of this facility, however, donations are accepted to upkeep the park. Also, if you are staying at this site we encourage you to help keep it clean, and please visit and support the nearest town or village.
THINGS TO DO
The area is a perfect spot to explore the town and learn more about the nation’s history. Visitors Centre is open every weekend.
