Glastonbury Creek camping area is an open grassy area at the base of a hill on the south-east edge of Brooyar State Forest alongside Glastonbury Creek.   Note: High tension powerlines cross 40 m above this camping area. The camping area can be reached by conventional vehicles, trailers, caravans and buses.
Number of sites: Sites are not numbered. Maximum capacity for the camping area is 120 people.
Campsites are suitable for: tent camping beside your car, caravans, camper trailers, small and large motor-homes and large groups.
Campsite surface: Grass.

GETTING THERE
Conventional vehicles, trailers, caravans and buses access is from the southern entrance. Take the Gympie—Woolooga Road and turn right into Diggins Road and onto Greendale Road. Follow the signs to the camping area, on the right just past the park entrance. This access route includes sections of unsealed roads. Alternate route for high clearance vehicles – 10km North of Gympie turn off the Bruce highway onto the Wide Bay Highway and after 2.8km turn left onto Peterson Road, after 2km turn left to stay on Peterson Road after 300m turn right again and after a further 1.6km join Point Pure Road.  1.1km on is the entrance to the campground on your left.

SITE ACCESS
Follow the track over the grid and into the camping area.

FEES & BOOKINGS
Camping permits are required and fees apply. A camping tag with your booking number must be displayed at your campsite and these can only be obtained online..
Fees for camping permits are:
$6.75 per person per night or $27.00 per family group per night.
$3.70 per person per night for students and accompanying adults on approved excursions.
FAMILY RATE. For camping fees, a family group is defined as one or two adults and accompanying children under 18, up to a total of 8 people. Children under 5 years of age are free. Advance Booking is required at all times. Read more about CAMPING COSTS & BOOKINGS

FACILITIES
Fire rings, composting toilets and good non potable water. The adjacent day-use area has wood barbecues and picnic tables.

RULES
Keep to defined vehicle tracks and walking trails.
Camp in designated areas to avoid damage to fragile vegetation.
Take rubbish home with you – if you carry it in, carry it out.
