Originaly known as the historic Cane Cutters Hotel, Garradunga Hotel was originally built in 1888 and rebuilt in 1935. The property is famous for its Resident Ghost which is regularly seen. Campers are welcome here as they have camping grounds with bbq area for outside guests. The hotel also offers room accommodation, has a bistro restaurant with great meals and outside beer garden. The pub has been mentioned in a number of songs including “On the Queensland Railway Lines”,”Hey Rain”, “The Garradunga Song” & also in Poems, one gentleman claims it to be the friendliest hotel in Queensland.
HOW TO GET THERE
It is North of Innisfail just off the Bruce highway. At 2.8km after crossing the North Johnstone River turn right onto Jubilee Rd and after 700m turn left on to Garradunga Rd. Hotel is 1.9km on theleft.
