Conveniently located 35 mins north of the city of Brisbane, Forgedale is a welcome oasis of Australian bushland. The 17 acre eucalypt and paperbark open forest environment backs onto the Lake Kurwongbah flora and fauna sanctuary. This is home to a wide variety of birdlife, possums, wallabies, kangaroos and occasional koalas, and deer.

If you like your independence, space and privacy and want to self-cater, utilising your own living quarters, then one of Forgedale’s 4 secluded sites will be ideal for you. Choose a paddock camp under the stars by Lake Kurwongbah, or by the bush hut at Forgedale Dam, or the modern, easy access camp by the 2018 colourbond shed with its purpose built caravan RV awning and optional en-suite, kitchenette and additional room.

Each site has rural outlooks including tall trees and grassy paddocks, farm dams, or lake country views. Access to the sites include an all-weather road to the colourbond shed, or a mown track to the hut, then a slashed paddock track to the lakeside camp.

If you prefer to embrace the comforts of a ‘home away from home’, then request the self-contained Forgedale Penthouse on the third floor. The recently renovated antique furnished penthouse is available for partial or full week stays.

Just five minutes off the Bruce Highway, the property is only 8 minutes from the bustling shopping, restaurant and recreational precinct at North Lakes or five minutes to the quieter shopping centre and train station at Narangba or Dakabin.

STORAGE FACILITIES
Forgedale offers a limited number of premium covered storage bays for caravans and RV’s with lockup and monitored security.

HOW TO GET THERE
Take the Boundary Road exit (Exit 138) off the Bruce Highway. Go the full length westward along Boundary Rd and you will come to a Y intersection with the left hand arm going over the railway bridge. Take the left arm and go over the railway bridge, then turn left onto Narangba Rd. The Forgedale Brisbane Farmstay entrance is the second driveway on your right with ‘GN Olsson Antique Restoration 393’ signs either side of it. If you need a standing bay, just stop to the side of the extra wide bitumen driveway or up on the footpath.

SITE ACCESS
Pull up on the edge of the big wide bitumen driveway or up along the footpath and your host will meet you there. The left hand gate takes you to the Eucalypt Green colourbond shed camp.
