Feriendorf, German for ‘A Happy Place’ an apt name for this private campground situated on 40 acres on the pristine Colo River, only 20km from Windsor. It is suitable for all types of camping from tents to caravans and big rigs.

But, forget the mobiles, they don’t work here. Instead you will find a large lagoon, well stocked with fish including Bass, and a canoe to paddle around on, there are lovely walking tracks, and an outdoor file place, ideal for toasting marshmallows. With no surrounding noise, it is so peaceful you can hear a pin drop, and gazing at the stars at night is an absolute treat.

The facilities include BBQ, laundry, toilets, showers, and Wi-Fi for those that really need it. There are also some Segways available for guest to try out and a 4 wheel drive John Deere Gator.

Your hosts Stan and Jaquie, are looking forward to sharing his lovely property with you, with full access to all parts of the property, and as an added bonus, will provide a free life size photo of your experience.

HOW TO GET THERE
Access to Feriendorf is via the Putty Road, either north of Windsor or South of Singleton, then turning onto Upper Colo Road, look for the big sign arrpxiimately 3.5km on the right that says Feriendorf.

SITE ACCESS
The gate is always open, and nice and wide for caravans, drive towards the right then please stop and see caretaker at the house, press the buzzer if no one is there.

Bookings are not essential but it is best to call first to let us know you are coming.
Sites are $15 un-powered and $20 with power

SPECIAL REQUESTS
Feriendrof is supplied by tank water and it is asked you bear this in mind and please us it sparingly.

THINGS TO DO
There are plenty of things to do at Feriendorf itself, including swimming, fishing, walking and hiking, or for something more active, paddle a canoe, mow lawns (please) Fix fences, (please) or ride on the Segways, Gator or Quad bikes. Or, just up the road is a lovely Café, and the lovely Gees Lagoon with magnificent rocks to climb only 5 minutes’ walk up the road
