Ellery Creek Big Hole Campground offers an exciting camping adventure that is accessible all year long. There are 21 defined sites within the campground. However, the best time to visit from April to October. Ellery Creek Big Hole is a spectacular waterhole in the mighty Ellery Creek, which cuts through a gorge in the West MacDonnell Ranges. This vast and spectacular section of the MacDonnell Ranges, located west of Alice Springs, is an outstanding example of an ancient landscape sculptured over time by climatic elements.

SITE ACCESS
Ellery Creek Big Hole is located 80 km west of Alice Springs. Access is via Larapinta and Namatjira Drives. Access is by conventional vehicle; however, the last 2 km is unsealed.

Please note: GPS Coordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you to the National Park entrance. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.

FEES & BOOKINGS
Spaces are limited and operate on a first come, first served basis.
The overnight fee is: $3.30/adult, $1.65/child (5-15 years), $7.70/family (2 adults and 4 children).
There is a separate camp ground for schools and large groups. Bookings are required.

FACILITIES
Toilets, picnic facilities, gas barbecues, communal fire pit, information, and caravan sites.

THIGS TO DO
Visitors to Ellery Creek Big Hole will be rewarded with excellent recreational opportunities – walking, swimming, and picnicking just to name a few.

RULES
Keep to designated roads and tracks.
All historic, cultural items and wildlife are protected.
