The scenic Ellendale Pool is located 45km south east of Geraldton. Surrounded by giant gum trees and a rocky gorge, it is an ideal picnic or camping location. The site has great facilities and dogs are welcome. The area is accessible to caravans, motorhomes, and camper trailers with a maximum limit of 7 days.
HOW TO GET THERE
From the Brand Highway (Hwy 1) turn East at South Grenough turn onto Showground Rd then after 3.8 km turn left onto Walter Rd. After a further 2.9 km turn right onto Nangetty-Walkaway Rd. At 12.8 km from here turn left onto Ellendale Rd and then at 6.7 km turn right onto Ellendale Pool Rd and the campground is on the right with a loop road around the site.
FEES & BOOKINGS
Fee is $7.00/ night per vehicle.
THINGS TO DO
Visitors can take a dip in the refreshing water, canoe on the waterways, or relax in the beauty of nature. One may also climb the rocky peak from the creek that flows from Ellendale Pool.
It also advisable to visit tnearby Greenough to see the different historic buildings in the town.
