Duaringa Rest Area is a large flat campground suitable for caravans and big rigs with awesome facilities and mobile coverage. Tall scattered trees provide some shade for caravaners. 48 hours maximum stay is allowed enough to visit and appreciate the local community. Take a stroll to Duaringa Post & News in Alice Street, which offers you fresh bakery bread daily and an assortment of grocery items, papers, magazines, and postal services.
HOW TO GET THERE
Duaringa is on the Capricorn Highway 111km West of Rockhampton, or 37km East of Dingo.
SITE ACCESS
The site is just off Capricorn Highway adjacent to the Duaringa Visitor Information Centre.
FEES & BOOKINGS
As this is a free camping area, the donation is appreciated to keep the site clean.
THINGS TO DO
Mackenzie Park is one of the town’s local attractions which has a lagoon and waterfall that lights up at night. It is also home to a rare tree only found in the local township, Duaringa Stringy Bark, also known as “Budgeroo” trees.
