Dandabah camping area, one of the camping areas in Bunya Mountains National Park, is comprised of a large, open grassy area with vehicle access to sites. It is accessible for trailers, caravans and buses. All roads to the Bunya Mountains are steep, narrow and winding. This is a popular, well-developed area close to private facilities, including a restaurant, small general store and holiday accommodation.
Number of sites: Open area without separately defined sites for up to 70 people.
Camp sites are suitable for: tent camping beside your car, walk-in camping, camper trailers and large groups.
Camp site surface: Grass.
SITE ACCESS
Access to the Bunya Mountains National park is via the Bunya Mountains Road, South of Kumbia or north of Kaimkillenbun or via the Maidenwell-Bunya Mountains Road from the East. The camp site is approximately 8.5 km north-west of the QPWS information Centre.Near the QPWS information centre at the southern entrance to the park.
Please note: GPS Co-Ordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you to the entrance. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.
FEES & BOOKINGS
Camping permits are required and fees apply. A camping tag with your booking number must be displayed at your campsite. Bookings should be made up to 12 months in advance for school holidays, long weekends and large groups.
Fees for camping permits are:
$6.75 per person per night or $27 per family group per night.
$3.70 per person per night for students and accompanying adults on approved excursions.
FAMILY RATE. For camping fees, a family group is defined as one or two adults and accompanying children under 18, up to a total of 8 people. Children under 5 years of age are free.

FACILITIES
Picnic tables, shelter sheds, rubbish bins, flushing toilets, hot showers, water (treat before drinking), and coin-operated electric barbecues.
RULES
Keep to defined vehicle tracks and walking trails.
Camp in designated areas to avoid damage to fragile vegetation.
Take rubbish home with you – if you carry it in, carry it out.
