Camping in Crows Nest National Park provides a rustic adventure for camping enthusiasts. Individual campsites situated amid open eucalypt woodland. The camp site is accessible by conventional vehicles (with care) via a short gravel track leading off the main access road just before the picnic area. The camp site is a small bush campground has unpowered tent and caravan sites, pit toilets, ‘boil-your-own-water’ showers and wood barbecues. Permits must be obtained before setting up camp.
Access: Number of sites: Thirteen individual campsites, ranging in size from small to large.
Campsites are suitable for: tent camping beside your car: walk-in camping: caravans: camper trailers or motor homes.
Campsite surface: Grass.

SITE ACCESS
Turn off the New England Highway at the police station at Crows Nest (56 km north of Toowoomba) and take the sealed road 6 km to the park.
Caution: after heavy rain, creek crossings may be flooded.

Please note: GPS Coordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you to the entrance. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.

FEES & BOOKINGS
Camping permits are required and fees apply. A camping tag with your booking number must be displayed at your campsite. Book in advance for camping on school holidays and long weekends. At other times, campers can either pre-book or self-register on arrival. Sites 5-11 are e-permit only (booked) at all times. Campers with e-permits must only camp in the numbered camping site(s) they have booked. Campers can self-register for sites 1-4 and 12-13 only (except over long weekends and school holidays when e-permits are required for all sites).
Fees for camping permits are:
$6.55 per person per night or $26.20 per family group per night.
$3.60 per person per night for students and accompanying adults on approved excursions.
FAMILY RATE. For camping fees, a family group is defined as one or two adults and accompanying children under 18, up to a total of 8 people. Children under 5 years of age are free. Read more about CAMPING COSTS & BOOKINGS.

Pit toilets, wood barbecues, ‘boil-your-own-water’ showers, water (treat before drinking).

RULES
Keep to defined vehicle tracks and walking trails.
Camp in designated areas to avoid damage to fragile vegetation.
Take rubbish home with you – if you carry it in, carry it out.
