Corinna Wilderness Retreat and Campground is an oasis in the western wilderness of Tasmania. Relax and be mesmerized in the Tarkine rainforest and the wild west coast.
Corinna offers camping, however, they are limited and bookings are essential. There are also accommodation alternatives at Corinna such as the original roadman’s cottage, the old pub, and sixteen new wilderness retreats.

HOW TO GET THERE
Corinna is on the banks of the Pieman River 138km southwest of Wynyard and is reached via B18 from Somerset to Waratah and then the B23 and C247 (Corinna Road).
Note that if you approach from the South, Zeehan (or East – Tullah) you will incur a charge for crossing the Pieman River via the Barge which starts at $28 for a “standard” vehicle.
SITE ACCESS
The camping area is alongside the Barge landing area.

Bookings are essential.
Fee is from $40/night per couple.

Facilities are toilets, showers, fire pits, and BBQ area.

THINGS TO DO
Corinna activities include a wide range of walks and fascinating kayak routes on the Pieman River. The site is also a great spot to base and explore the nearby attractions such as the historic fishing village of Pieman Heads, small settlements to the south at Granville Harbour and Trial Harbour, Pioneer Museum at Zeehan, Shirley Smith’s history museum at Trial Harbour, and the historic mining town of Waratah.
