Coopers Point Camping Area is a remote campsite on Lake Eildon within the Lake Eildon National Park. It is only accessible by Boat and therefore only offers Tent based camping. The nearest boat ramp is located at Lakeside on Coller Bay, 2km by boat from Coopers Point Camping.

Lake Eildon National Park is in the northern foothills of Victoria’s Central Highlands, 150 km north-east of Melbourne. Situated on the shores of Lake Eildon, the park protects 27,750 ha of rugged hills with open woodlands through to dense forest.

SITE ACCESS
Coller Bay is best approached from either Eildon or Alexandra which are approximately 130km north east of Melbourne.

Please note: GPS Co-Ordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you to the National Park entrance or as close to the camp site as possible. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.

FEES & BOOKINGS
Fees no longer apply to basic category campgrounds. For all stays up until 30 June 2015, you will still need to book a campsite, but no fees will be charged. After 1 July 2015, no bookings will be taken for campgrounds where fees do not apply. Camping will be first in, first-served.
A 100% discount will apply to the Basic campsite fees when proceed with your booking.

FACILITIES
No fires are permitted due to fire risk. Non-flush toilet is provided. . Please bring your own drinking water and take your rubbish and recycling home with you. Phone reception is limited.

THINGS TO DO
Visitors can enjoy bushwalking, boating and fishing or try the more adventurous pursuits of waterskiing and mountain bike riding. Relax in a scenic environment and experience native wildlife.

RULES
All the plants and animals in the park are protected. Leave the park as you find it.
Bins are not provided. Please take your rubbish with you.
Light fires only in the fireplaces provided. Learn more about campfire safety.
Firearms are only permitted in the park according to hunting regulations. Please refer to the hunting page.
Keep to designated tracks.
Dredging and gold fossicking are not permitted.
Vehicles and motorbikes may be used only on roads open to public vehicles. All vehicles must be registered and drivers licensed.
