Columboola Country Caravan Park (CP)

Columboola Country Caravan Park is a 200-acre private campground ideally located for the travelling holidaymaker or those looking for country camping holiday destination. Situated just off the main Warrego Highway, four hours west of Brisbane and two hours north of Goondiwindi, which is the major inland crossing point between Qld and NSW.

Accommodation options are available from a range of Camping and Caravan sites through to their unique handcrafted Cabins and Cottages with styles and budgets that will suit everyone.

With over 200 acres of property to choose from if you are fully self-sufficient, and if not, they also have powered sites available. Bring your caravan, tent or your swag to sleep under the stars. There is plenty of shade around, tank water and treated water available to some site. The campground facilities are standard as outlined below. The real beauty in this place is in what it offers outside of this.

There are Hand Crafted Cottages with full kitchen facilities and a separate double bedroom, and Cabins -consisting of handcrafted annexes attached to on-site caravan/Melbourne bus.

Columboola Country is ideal for birdwatchers with an abundance of birds of different  varieties to be found around the property or relax and throw in a line or two. Fishing & cray fishing are available at your door in a large natural “rockhole” lagoon with plenty more to be found in other nearby waterways. Yabbies are plentiful (during the warmer months) in the well-stocked pond. Kayaks and canoes are available for use by young and old. 4WD enthusiasts are also well catered for and your pets are more than welcome, including horses, with stables also available for them.

Group Bookings are available with catering provided on request for any group of 20 or more. The perfect place for Weddings, Birthdays, Family Reunions and Groups.

HOW TO GET THERE
Ryalls Road runs directly off the Warrego Highway.
Approximately 14km east of Miles turn left into Ryalls Road or approximately 30klm west of Chinchilla turn right onto Ryalls Road just after the second railway crossing.
Ryalls Road turn is well signed with both the Columboola and a Blue Council Camping sign. Follow for about 14km to the campground entrance on the left. The well signed road is firm gravel and in excellent condition and not a problem for caravans.

SITE ACCESS
The sign posted entrance is on the left as is the office. Park on the right opposite the office and see the caretaker who is always onsite.

$100/night for Cabins and Cottages – linen included
7 Nights – $500 – linen included
Additional $10 per person.
Children 6 years and under stay for free.
Stay 3 nights pay for 2 nights discount available.

THINGS TO DO
Outdoor activities are in abundance at Columboola including fishing for Yellowbelly, Jewfish, Cod and Perch in the “rockhole.”
If you have a 4WD you can explore over 100 acres of bushland.
Go bush walking where small caves can be found around the bushwalking track.
Bring your own horses – stables and yards are available for the guests use.
