Cheery Nomad $10 Self-Contained Park (CG)

A large peaceful park, situated on a rural property off the Hervey Bay Rd, 6km from Maryborough. Safe, secure and quiet parking where you can relax, listen to the birds and watch the beautiful sunset. Lucky’s (licenced) Bar is a great facility where travellers meet for cheap drinks, a few games of pool and a good old chat.

This is a Campground with basic facilities.

HOW TO GET THERE
The Cheery Nomad is around 7km North of maryborough.  From the junction of John Street/Walker Street (where the signage turns you left for Hervey Bay) travel 4.3km and turn left at Fazio Road, the Victory Church is on the corner.  Follow the road around as it turns into Lawson Street and leads you to the driveway at the end.

SITE ACCESS
There are no other turns as Lawson Street is a No Through Road. Note if approaching from Hervey Bay do not turn into an earlier turnoff for Lawson Street, they do not join up.

THINGS TO DO
Hervey Bay and access to Fraser Island is only 20 mins away.
Maryborough has plenty to offer. Lovely historic buildings and houses, Brennan & Geraghty’s Store Museum, the Wharf Street Precinct (take the free guided tour), Heritage City Markets every Thursday and much more. The Information Centre will give you plenty of things to see and do.
Maryborough is also a good ‘base camp’ for visiting nearby beachside towns or taking a leisurely drive in the countryside.
