Casuarina Camping Area features a flat, open grassy area, close to the Blackfellow Creek dominated by the dramatic ridgelines of the surrounding valley. Bottlebrush trees and lomandras grow throughout the camping area providing shade and seclusion for campers. The group camping area is a large, grassy area in an open forest setting. The camping area can be reached by conventional vehicle.
Number of sites: Open area without separately defined sites. If you book or register as a group you must camp together with a maximum distance of 3 m between your tents/trailers/vans.
Camp sites are suitable for: tent camping beside your car, trailers, caravans or camper vans.
Camp site surface: Grass.
SITE ACCESS
At the southern end of East Haldon Road in Glen Rock State Forest.
To get to Glen Rock State Forest head to the intersection of Gatton/Toowoomba Road and Mount Sylvia Road on the western edge of Gatton. Take Mount Sylvia Road south through Tenthill and then continue south to Junction View. At Junction View State Primary School turn left and follow East Haldon Road to Glen Rock State Forest.
The park is at the southern end of East Haldon Road on Blackfellow Creek and is identified by signs at the boundary.

FEES & BOOKINGS
Camping permits are required and fees apply. A camping tag with your booking number must be displayed at your campsite. Permits must be pre-booked and it advisable to book well in advance for school holidays and long weekends. Book up to 12 months in advance.
Fees for camping permits are:
$7 per person per night or $28.00 per family group per night.
$3.80 per person per night for students and accompanying adults on approved excursions.
FAMILY RATE. For camping fees, a family group is defined as one or two adults and accompanying children under 18, up to a total of 8 people. Children under 5 years of age are free.

FACILITIES
Non Potable Water, showers (cold water only), toilets and fireplaces. A horse yard is provided at the eastern end of the group camping area.
RULES
Keep to defined vehicle tracks and walking trails.
Camp in designated areas to avoid damage to fragile vegetation.
Take rubbish home with you – if you carry it in, carry it out.
