Captain Billy Landing directly beside the beach, offering opportunities for beach walking and fishing. The camping area can only be reached by four-wheel-drive and off-road camper trailers. It is not accessible to caravans or conventional buses.
Number of sites: open area without separately defined sites, a maximum of eight vehicles and 18 people are allowed at any one time.
Camp sites are suitable for: tent camping beside your car and camper trailers.

SITE ACCESS
The camp site is on the eastern extremity of Heathlands Regional Park, on the coast. To access Captain Billy Landing, drive 66 km from Bramwell Junction along the Southern Bypass Road to the signposted Captain Billy Landing turn-off and travel a further 27 km to the coast.
From Cairns, drive north-west to the Peninsula Developmental Road, the main road to Cape York Peninsula. Follow the Peninsula Developmental Road 50 km north from Coen and turn on to the Telegraph Road. Drive 40 km north of the Wenlock River to Bramwell Junction and cross on to the Southern Bypass Road.

Please note: GPS Coordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you to the entrance. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.

FEES & BOOKINGS
Camping permits are required and fees apply. A camping tag with your booking number must be displayed at your campsite.
Fees for camping permits are:
$6.55 per person per night or $26.20 per family group per night.
$3.60 per person per night for students and accompanying adults on approved excursions.
FAMILY RATE. For camping fees, a family group is defined as one or two adults and accompanying children under 18, up to a total of 8 people. Children under 5 years of age are free.

FACILITIES
Hybrid toilet, individual and communal fire rings, picnic tables and a shelter.

RULES
Keep to defined vehicle tracks and walking trails.
Camp in designated areas to avoid damage to fragile vegetation.
Take rubbish home with you – if you carry it in, carry it out.
