The City of Busselton has installed a new dump point to cater for the growing number of visitors to the region travelling in caravans and recreational vehicles. The dump point, which is now fully operational, is located behind Churchill Park in Busselton adjacent to Kookaburra Caravan Park number 2.
While the new dump point facility is free to use, it’s kept locked in order to ensure no dumping of contaminated refuse. To utilise the facility people need to telephone the City of Busselton on 9781 0444 (all hours) to access the pin-code.
HOW TO GET THERE
When entering Busselton from the go straight ahead at the roundabout at the Council Offices on Queen Street and take the fifth on the right (Adelaide Street); the dump point is three blocks along on the right behind the Soccer Club.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Dump Points are sites especially designed for Recreational Vehicles (RVs) to dispose of their waste, including Grey and Black Water, and Sewerage in an environmentally safe way.
Some Dump Points will have a hose provided for the rinsing of your holding tanks. Be mindful that these hoses may have been used to clean waste, and in no circumstances should be used to fill your drinking water tanks.
Some Dump Points also use recycled water, not intended for drinking. If drinking water is available at these sites, it should be clearly marked. If it is not marked as such, avoid using it as potable water.
