Burra Rock Conservation Reserve is a popular day trip offering visitors a great picnic spot and campground with a pretty backdrop of granite rock which is surrounded by regrowth woodland. It is not available for caravans, motorhomes or camper trailers.
SITE ACCESS
60km south of Coolgardie past the old Nepean Mine on Burra Rock Road (unsealed). Travel time is approximately 45 minutes from Coolgardie. Roads may be closed after rain.
Please note: GPS Co-Ordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you to the entrance. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions
FEES & BOOKINGS
No camping fees apply. Bookings do not apply at this campground. It operates on a first come – first served basis. Please contact the campground during peak holiday season for availability.
FACILITIES
The campground features picnic tables, barbecue fire rings, toilets, freshwater dam and an information shelter.
THINGS TO DO
Climb to the summit which overlooks regenerated woodlands or explore the dam. Check out the old machinery used for farming in the 1960s. Other activities such as bird watching, bushwalking, photography and nature observation can be enjoyed.
GUIDELINES
Please collect fire wood before entering the reserve.
Very few campgrounds have waste bins – take all waste with you when you leave.
