Budds Mare campground – Oxley Wild Rivers National Park (FC)

There are a total of 3 sites at this location. The location is suitable for Camper Trailers, Camping beside my vehicle, and Tents.

Budds Mare campground is a great place to escape for an evening or two of rugged bush camping in a World Heritage listed landscape. The campground is right on the edge of the tablelands, with a spectacular lookout over the Apsley River Gorge. Once you’ve set up your campsite, it’s time to explore. The Budds Mare to Riverside walk leaves from the campground, taking you down to Riverside campground and picnic area along a 7km track. It is a strenuous walk that is suitable for experienced bushwalkers. You’ll be rewarded at Riverside though, with picnic tables, barbecues and swimming holes in the Apsley River.

Budds Mare campground is located in the Budds Mare precinct of Oxley Wild Rivers National Park. To get there take Moona Plains Road from Walcha.

Please note: GPS Co-Ordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you as close to the camp site as possible, or to the National Park entrance. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.

FEES & BOOKINGS
Sites are not marked and bookings are not available.

This is a remote campground, please make sure you arrive well prepared.
