There are a total of 12 sites at this location. The location is suitable for Camper Trailers, Camping beside my vehicle, and Tents.

Brushy Mountain campground is a perfect place to get away from it all and unwind. Set amid tall ribbon gum and Blackbutt forest, you’ll find plenty of grassy patches to set up camp or picnic under the trees.

It makes an ideal base to explore the nearby walking tracks. Discover ancient Gondwana rainforests and eucalypt forests on the easy Brushy Mountain loop walk, or spend a few hours and head to Spokes lookout for spectacular views on a 9km loop trail.

SITE ACCESS
Unsealed road/trail – 2WD (no long vehicle access) – Dry weather only.
Brushy Mountain campground is in the eastern precinct of the park and is best accessed via Wauchope or Port Macquarie.On entering Werrikimbe National Park: Continue driving on Hastings Forest Way for 8km to the junction with Cockerawombeeba Road (Cocky Road). Follow Cockerawombeeba Road for approximately 1.8km to Brushy Mountain campground.

Please note: GPS Co-Ordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you as close to the camp site as possible, or to the National Park entrance. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.

Water is not available at this campground, so you’ll need to bring your own supply for drinking and cooking.
This is a remote campground, so please make sure you arrive well-prepared.
Firewood is not provided and should not be collected from the park, so you’ll need to bring your own supply.
Rubbish bins are not available, so please take your rubbish with you when leaving.
If you’re bushwalking in this park, it’s a good idea to bring a topographic map and compass, or a GPS.
Check the weather before you set out as the road to Brushy Mountain campground can become boggy when it rains.
No domestic animals or unregistered vehicles allowed.
