Bonnie Vale Campground – Royal National Park (CG)

There are a total of 74 sites at this location. The location is suitable for Caravans, Camper Trailers, Camping beside my vehicle, and Tents. While caravans are suitable, large motorhomes may have trouble accessing the site.

Bonnie Vale is a family-friendly campground located between Bundeena and Maianbar at the park’s north end. This popular riverside campground is known for its large sand spit, which makes it a great swimming spot. Whether you choose to pitch a tent or bring your caravan, you’re sure to have a comfortable stay at Bonnie Vale. Go fishing at nearby Jibbon Beach, enjoy a barbecue by the sea or hike along Royal National Park’s long list of walking tracks. On weekends, you can even hire a kayak and paddle in the Hacking River.

SITE ACCESS
Sealed road – 2WD vehicles – All weather.
Bonnie Vale campground is in the Bundeena precinct of Royal National Park. To get there:
From Audley: Drive across Audley Weir and continue along Sir Bertram Stevens Drive for approximately 10km. Turn left onto Bundeena Drive and continue to Bundeena township
As you enter the town turn left onto Sea Breeze Lane and follow the signs.

Alternatively take the ferry from Cronulla to Bundeena wharf. It’s a 15-minute walk along a track to the entrance.

Please note: GPS Co-Ordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you as close to the camp site as possible, or to the National Park entrance. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.

FEES & BOOKINGS
Vehicle entry fee: $12 per vehicle per day. Please note vehicle entrance fees are not included in your accommodation or camping fees. Seasonal ticket booths at Bonnie Vale, Wattamolla and Garie Beach are cash only, as there is no power or mobile connection. Please bring correct change or buy an annual pass online.
Camping All campsites – site fee: $33 per night (2-person inclusive). $16.50 per night per additional adult (16 years+), $8 per night per additional child (5-15 years), infants free (0-4 years).

This is a popular campground. Reservations can be made for any arrival within the next 12 months.
This campground is suitable for group bookings and may require formal consent from the property manager. The sites may only be occupied by the number of people specified in the reservation.

Some National Parks require Fees to Enter the Park. For full details see PASSES & FEES.

RULES
All sites are marked and unpowered
Camp fires, wood fire and solid fuel barbecues are not permitted at Bonnie Vale.
Generators are not permitted.
Mobile phone coverage is available.
Check-in time 12 midday, check-out time 10am.
NSW national parks are now no smoking areas.
Pets are not permitted.
Bonnie Vale can get busy during school holiday periods.
Think about car pooling if your destination is Wattamolla, Bonnie Vale or Garie as visitor numbers in these areas often exceed available parking.
