Bluff Downs Historic Station Stay is a family operated working station that is perfect for four-wheel-drive trips to the yards and windmills. Definitely a great opportunity to experience the real Aussie outback and characters that goes with it. They even offer camping in this historic homestead suitable for caravans and big rigs. It has powered and unpowered sites with great facilities. If you prefer to have some privacy and move away from the view of the paddocks, they have bed and breakfast accommodation available. Meals are also available upon request. Your stay would be enjoyable as they have lots of farm activities and tours to choose from.
HOW TO GET THERE
From Charters Towers take the Gregory Highway North for 76.6km then turn left onto Hillgrove Niall Road. The station is 28.3km on the left just after crossing the river.

There are a lot of activities to do such as fossick for fossils, watching horse training, birdwatching, swimming, boating and fishing in the river or picnicking beside a billabong. You might also consider to help feed deer, calves, horses, birds and kangaroos.
