Binnowee (place of many birds) is only 19klms nth of Bundaberg. Mon Repos is where you can view the turtles hatching. The Bert Hinkler Museum, and of course the Bundaberg Rum Distillery are but a few things to do in Bundaberg. The camp site is situated on a grassed area by a huge lake. There are shady areas as well as sunny spots for those with solar. We keep numbers to a minimum so you are not parked on top of your neighbour. Firepits are provided and wood is available for $10 bag.
Booking are essential as the site is on our 98 acre property and we need to know who’s coming and going. Must have a toilet and water, as there is none available here. The Kolan River is 3klms away, and is an ideal swimming spot. We also allow pets, but they must be restrained at night as we love our wildlife here, so if you’re looking for a nice quiet place to chill out, we would love to see you.
HOW TO GET THERE
From Bundaberg, travel on the Bundaberg/ Gin Gin Road, after approx. 6 klms turn onto Rosedale Rd. In 10klms turn onto Bucca R0ad and we’re 3.05 klms down on left. There is an Aussie flag flying on a BINNOWEE sign, and entry is through the gate that has a kookaburra cut out of corrugated iron on it.
SITE ACCESS
The access is flat and suitable for larger rigs. There is also an exit road to make it easier for when you’re leaving.
