Beach Retreat Tourist Park – Wynyard (CP)

Beach Retreat Tourist Park offers a peaceful and relaxed setting, where you step off manicured lawns onto the beach. This makes an ideal spot to base yourself for a few days whilst you visit the great attractions of the North West Coast, Tasmania.

Wynyard is a sanctuary, situated in the centre of Tasmania’s picturesque North West Coast. It is surrounded by a patchwork of lush fertile fields and rolling hills which meet the azure waters of the ocean.

The park has level concrete pads for caravans, camper vans and motorhomes. It also has a range of grassy tent sites, electric BBQ with open fire, sophisticated home away from home kitchen/TV lounge – hot plates, microwave, refrigerator, kettle, toaster, cutlery and crockery, pots and pans supplied, Laundry with electric washing machines and dryer. And if you’re looking for a different set-up, they also have self-contained cabins where each has its own unique design and decoration.

HOW TO GET THERE
It is located 17.7km from Oldina. Head northeast on Oldina Road, turn right onto Bass Highway/A2 (signs for Burnie).  At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Mount Hicks Road/B26 and turn left onto Old Bass Highway/C240. Beach Retreat Tourist Park is on the right.

SITE ACCESS
Along Old Bass Highway, you’ll see their signpost and turn right. You’ll pass by Splash Café before you reach the entrance where another signpost is placed.

THINGS TO DO
Enjoy total beach and river frontage – great for fishing and boating! The town centre is a leisurely 10 minute stroll along the river, with restaurants, cafes, take-away, shops and supermarkets for your enjoyment. Beaches, rivers, lakes and forests are within easy reach. You can also visit some of their attractions such as the Fossil Bluff, Table Cape and Rocky Cape National Park.
