The secret is out. Very few people have heard of Baffle Creek or what it has to offer. Roughly half-way between Bundaberg and Gladstone is the Baffle Creek estuary system. It is rated as near pristine, one of the largest estuaries in Qld and it is fed by over 70 km of large saltwater creeks.

Our park has extra large shady sites. Campfires are permitted in designated areas and a laundromat is open 24 hours.

This is a Caravan Park with a good range of facilities.

HOW TO GET THERE
From the North turn off the Bruce Highway at Miriam Vale and follow Fingerboard Road for 35.6km then continue on Coast Road for a further 24.4km to the Park driveway on the right.
From the South turn off the Bruce Highway on to John Clifford Way at the Northern end of Warro National Park; after 15.7km turn right into Gorge Road for a further 10.4km then turn right into Tableland Road for 3.3 km.  Turn right into Coast Road and the driveway is a further 24.4km on the right.

THINGS TO DO
The area is sparsely populated and there is little pressure on the fish stocks. It is arguably the best coastal river fishing in Southern Qld. Baffle Creek has been identified by fisheries research as having the highest concentration of Mangrove Jack on QLD’s East Coast.

Flathead, bream, trevally, queenfish, grunter, trevally, prawns and mud crabs are prevalent and this year there are lots of barra.

If you’re not into fishing, the area has some great bird and animal watching, not to mention kayaking, sailing, swimming, or if you prefer lazing around on the beach doing nothing.
