The new Baden Powell, featuring 42 individual camp sites nestled among the trees, was opened in 2013. 36 sites are suitable only for tents. Of these, 23 can accommodate regular size tents (up to 6m x 4m floor area) and 13 will fit small tents (up to 3m x 2.5m) only. Six sites are suitable for large campervans or regular caravans and camper trailers: reverse in, drive out. The compacted gravel surface of these sites makes them unsuitable for tents. (A large campervan is up to 8.5m x 4.5m fully expanded. A regular caravan or camper trailer is up to 7.5m x 4.5m, fully expanded, including draw bar.)
Dogs are permitted in Lane Poole Reserve. They must be on a leash at all times.
