Augathella on the Highway Caravan Park and Camping Grounds (CP)

Augathella on the Highway is a Service Centre for travellers, located directly on the main highway which skirts the outback Queensland town of Augathella. It is a well situated, convenient rest stop for travellers driving to or from different locations. Their caravan park is set over 5 acres of motel grounds and was completely redesigned and redeveloped in 2015, including refurbishing amenities block.

They have grassy powered and unpowered sites available. Spacious and clean amenities are provided in a central well-lit block. A particular feature of the park is the large drive-through sites and wide roads which can easily accommodate the largest of recreational vehicles and buses. In 2012, they added a new large covered seating area to the park with complimentary electric BBQ facilities for their guests. Please note that caravan park no longer permits dogs.

HOW TO GET THERE
It is located 84km from Charleville via Mitcell Highway and at at 78km turn left onto Landsborough Highway (signs for Augathella). After around 5km Augathella on the Highway Caravan Park & Camping Ground is on the left.  From the East travel via Warrego Highway from Morven for 92km.

SITE ACCESS
Site access is straight off Landsborough Highway onto gravel driveway which is very firm and compact, there is room to turn around a big rig. The site is reasonably level.

FEES & BOOKINGS
Fee is $30 up to 2 persons per night for powered site, $20 up to 2 persons per night for unpowered site and $10 per person per night for tents only (unpowered). For more information, you may call or email via the details below.

THINGS TO DO
There are several attractions you can visit in this area such as The Cosmos Centre and Observatory, Idalia National Park, Mount Moffatt and Warrego River.
