Located at the northernmost point of the park, this campground with 13 sites available is the starting point for several loop walks. Situated on the Aroona Creek between the ABC Range and Heysen Range, the Heysen Trail runs close to the area. Toilet facilities and a self-registration station are located on-site.

HOW TO GET THERE
Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park is situated approximately 450 kilometers north of Adelaide, in the central Flinders Ranges.

From Adelaide, take one of several routes to Hawker, then follow the signs to Wilpena (Flinders Ranges Way).

If approaching from Broken Hill, turn north at Yunta on the Arkaroola Road and follow signs to Blinman which is the Northern end of Flinders Ranges Way.

The best vehicle access to this campground is off the Flinders Ranges Way at Brachina Gorge Road (signed), after 10.3km turn right into Aroona Valley Road; the campground is at the end of the road (about 6.5km).

The main road through the park and into Wilpena Pound is sealed. Unsealed roads with changing surfaces occur throughout the park and may be affected by weather conditions. All public roads are accessible by two-wheel drive vehicles, caravans and trailers.

Please note: GPS Co-Ordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you to the National Park entrance. Once inside the park, there should be signs to the actual campgrounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.

FEES & BOOKINGS
Camping fees from $17 per vehicle (max 8 people).
Fees can be paid at the self-registration stations throughout the park or the Wilpena Pound Visitor Information Centre.
