Carmila Beach Camping Area (CG)

Are you traveling between Rockhampton and Sarina?

Carmila Beach is an unspoilt paradise and convenient three-day rest area for all those travelling. The campground has 3 designated color zones; Green for caravans, yellow is for camper trailers, and red is for tents only. Please be advised it is recommended travellers fill their vans prior to arrival at Carmila, as currently there is no potable water available in Carmila for van use or drinking. Bottled drinking water can be purchased from the Service Station for your convenience.

HOW TO GET THERE
The Carmila Beach turnoff is 236km North of Rockhampton and only 64km South of Sarina off the Bruce Highway, turning at the BP Service Station/Roadhouse into Music Street, then into Carmila Beach Road. Follow Carmila Beach Road to the end and turn right.

SITE ACCESS
Access to the campground is along 1km of dirt track and the last 300m are sandy and narrow.

FEES & BOOKINGS
Fees are $12.50 per night and payable as follows (from the Isaac Regional Council website):

Carmila Beach is very popular with fishing enthusiasts who trawl through the creeks north and south of this camping oasis.
