Whyalla Caravan Park is part of the Top Parks group of caravan parks who have recently teamed up with Discovery Parks to bring you over 200 destinations all over Australia. They also have their own G’DAY Rewards program offering further discounts at these destinations.
The park is set in the beautiful coastal town of Whyalla and offers a large range of accommodation options for the single traveller through to families and groups. It is only 5 minutes’ drive from a range of activities that Whyalla has to offer, including Golf, Fishing, Diving and Windsurfing.
This pet-friendly park is quiet and offers a range of easy to access large drive-through sites for larger vans, big rigs, motorhomes or 5th wheelers. All sites are level with plenty of room for extra vehicles. The sites are quite spacious with good shade and amongst 6 acres of gardens, trees and lawns. It is very well maintained and kept in excellent condition with all the standard facilities as outlined below.
The lighting at night around the park is excellent and fires are permitted in your own firepits. There is room to park your boat and a fish cleaning area for your catch.
If you’re looking for a night out of the van or a place to catch up with family and friends who aren’t the avid camper, the park also has a range of onsite cabins. Cabins are all self-contained, air-conditioned and fitted with TV’s, with several units having a dining area and/or balcony. They all have private bathrooms with showers and complimentary toiletries. Towels and bed linen are provided.
The park is not right on the water but it is known to be the quiet alternative, with plenty to keep you occupied. It’s only a short drive up to the beach if you don’t fancy the longer stroll. The beach is known to be visited by local friendly dolphins and has huge tidal variances which makes it ideal to try and catch some blue swimmer crabs or fish.
Whyalla is a well-facilitated town with everything you would need to make your stay enjoyable. There is a large regional shopping centre including many large retail chains.
