Warra Rest Area (FC)

The Warra Rest area is adjacent to the Warrego Highway and provides a small rest area that you can stay at for 48 hours. It is a small flat gravel area that can fill up fast by the afternoon and offers some shaded area. There are some well maintained old buildings on the site including the old railway ticket office which has toilet facilities, an old train carriage, watch house, windmill and school building.

HOW TO GET THERE
Warra is 128km Wset of Toowoomba or 48km East of Dalby on the Warrego Highway. 

SITE ACCESS
Turn off the Warrego Highway into Robinson Street. The first driveway leads into the rest area itself and not suitable for vans, the camping area is best accessed from the second driveway. You can access back onto the highway from both ways. 

FEES & BOOKINGS
This site is maintained and established by the local Progress Association and whilst it is free to stay, they would appreciate a donation to help keep it maintained. We encourage you to help keep the site clean and support the local community.There is a donation box in the old station building if you would like to contribute to the upkeep of this site. 

FACILITIES
Toilets in the old Railway Station are open 24 hours and there is drinking water in the rest area at the front. 

THINGS TO DO
It is conveniently located opposite the beautiful old Warra Pub which provides a nice cold ale, snacks and a BBQ on Friday nights to which they welcome travellers. Proceeds from the BBQ are contributed to maintaining the site for travellers. There is also a small General Store and cafe opposite the site which also provides meals.

RULES.
There is a 48 hour limit at this site
