Specialising in auto transmissions and diffs, Allan’s Automatics is located just a couple of blocks off the Bruce Highway (Route A1) in Cairns. Whether you’re looking for parts, service, a complete transmission or a rebuild, they’re a one-stop shop for all transmission requirements.

Catering for all makes and models of cars and 4WDs, they can supply both used and reconditioned transmissions. To get you back on the road as quickly as possible, they keep more than 20 exchange transmission units in stock to suit the most common models. Reconditioned transmissions come with a 12 month/20,000 km warranty.

In addition to transmissions, Allan’s Automatics range of products includes reconditioned and hi-stall torque converters and shift kits, and they can also repair or rebuild both transmissions and diffs. There is also a large range of transmission parts available. And if they don’t have the part you’re after in stock, they can either source it for you or build it from scratch.

HOW TO GET THERE
The workshop is located on the corner of Lyons and Barry streets. If travelling on the Bruce Highway/Mulgrave Road from the north you’ll turn left into Lyons Street, which is the second street after The Good Guys. If coming from the south, Lyons Street is the next street to the right after you pass Spotlight. A Yamaha dealership is on the corner. Barry Street is then the second street on the right.

SITE ACCESS
Access to the workshop is from Barry Street. If you’re in a large vehicle, you can parallel park in Barry Street. There is also 90-degree angle parking available for cars in front of the premises in Lyons Street. Both streets have ample room to manoeuvre large vehicles.
