Lovely and peaceful campground.
The Old Liffey School is now a community-run location and has space for free camping on the grounds. It is not flat but a small amount of levelling will find a few suitable spots. The pet-friendly site is accessible to motorhomes, caravans, and camper trailers with areas suitable for tents.
HOW TO GET THERE
From Deloraine (C513) cross the Liffey River and just after the road takes a 90-degree right-hand turn (T-Junction) the entrance driveway is on the left. From the West lookout for the left-hand turn and the old school, the building is visible up the hill to your right.
FEES & BOOKINGS
There is no charge for the use of this facility, so if you are staying at this site we encourage you to help keep it clean and tidy. A donation box is available so please make a contribution to help the local committee.
THINGS TO DO
Liffey Falls are 19km away and this is a safe location to leave your van as the local farmer, Lindsay, is always around.
