Salmon Creek Campground – Bowling Green Bay National Park (CG)

Camping area features: in a beach environment beside Salmon Creek. Camp sites are suitable for: tent camping beside your four-wheel-drive vehicle.

SITE ACCESS
access to Salmon Creek camping area is via the coastal township of Cungulla. Turn off the Bruce Highway onto Cape Cleveland Road and follow the signs to Cungulla. The camping area is approximately 6 km along the beach.
Access: the camping area is accessible by four-wheel-drive vehicles only. Be respectful of other beach users and avoid driving on the dunes. Read the driving on sand (PDF, 217K) brochure to find out how to be a safe and responsible beach user. Camp sites are susceptible to tidal influences, especially at high tides. Avoid travelling during the two hours either side of high tide. For safety, avoid travelling at night. Never sleep, sit or picnic in vehicle traffic zones such as the beach, roads or camping area access tracks.

FEES & BOOKINGS
Camping permits are required and fees apply. A camping tag with your booking number must be displayed at your campsite.
Fees for camping permits are:
$6.55 per person per night or $26.20 per family group per night.
$3.60 per person per night for students and accompanying adults on approved excursions.
FAMILY RATE. For camping fees, a family group is defined as one or two adults and accompanying children under 18, up to a total of 8 people. Children under 5 years of age are free.

There are no facilities here.

RULES
Keep to defined vehicle tracks and walking trails.
Camp in designated areas to avoid damage to fragile vegetation.
Take rubbish home with you – if you carry it in, carry it out.
