Camping area features: the camping area is on the bank of Cochable Creek. It is a trailhead for Koolmoon Creek track and Cannabullen Creek track—part of the Misty Mountains wilderness tracks.
Location: 47km east of Tully via Jarra Creek Road/Cardstone Road.
SITE ACCESS
The camping area can be reached by conventional vehicle or by foot. It is not accessible for caravans and motorhomes. Vehicles must be left in the parking area and gear has to be carried a short distance to the camping and day-use area.
Number of sites: open area without separately defined sites.
Campsites are suitable for: walk-in camping and cycle-in camping—vehicles must be left in the parking area and gear has to be carried a short distance to the camping area. Camper trailers can be used in the carpark a short distance from the camping area facilities.
Campsite surface: grass.
Please note: GPS Coordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you to the entrance. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.
FEES & BOOKINGS
Camping permits are required and fees apply. A camping tag with your booking number must be displayed at your campsite. Permits cannot be transferred between camping areas.
Fees for camping permits are:
$6.55 per person per night or $26.20 per family group per night.
$3.60 per person per night for students and accompanying adults on approved excursions.
FAMILY RATE. For camping fees, a family group is defined as one or two adults and accompanying children under 18, up to a total of 8 people. Children under 5 years of age are free.

FACILITIES
Wood barbecues (bring your own firewood), picnic tables, cold showers and wheelchair-accessible composting toilets. Tap water is available but should be treated before drinking.
Open fires: allowed (except when fire bans apply) in fire rings only. Firewood is not provided and must not be collected from the park. Fuel stoves are recommended.
Generators: only generators that operate at or below 65dB(A) are allowed. Generators may be operated only between 9.00am and 12.00noon.
Essentials to bring: drinking water, rubbish bags, insect repellent, fuel stove. Read more about things to know before you go.
RULES
Keep to defined vehicle tracks and walking trails.
Camp in designated areas to avoid damage to fragile vegetation.
Take rubbish home with you – if you carry it in, carry it out.
