Bungle Bungle Caravan Park was established in 2010 on Mabel Downs Station, right at the turnoff to Purnululu National Park and the Bungle Bungle Range. It is the first and only facility at the turnoff to the Bungle Bungles, just 1km from the Highway. The park is owned and operated by the Station owners and Yeeda Kimberely Tours who also run daily tours of the Bungle Bungle Region.
The park has a variety of accommodations available, including Camping, Caravan Sites, and Safari Tents, and offers guests a true Kimberley bush experience with a great family atmosphere. The park is pet-friendly and staying at the Bungle Bungle Caravan Park allows you to stay closer and save travel time to the Bungle Bungles, giving you more time to enjoy the wonders of this beautiful park.
Camping sites are unpowered and situated in a natural bush setting and close to all amenities. There is ample space but you will need to get in early for the grassed and shady sites, so best to ask when booking. Powered and unpowered caravan sites are also available and suitable for all RV’s even big rigs. For something with a little more comfort, why not enjoy a night or two in one of the park’s safari tents. The unique custom-made safari tents are available in basic standard or with full en-suite facilities.
A BBQ is available for campers or you can enjoy a pre-booked dinner and/or breakfast served in the big tent. The huge community fire pit (campfire) each evening is talked about at traveller stops all over Australia and is a fantastic place to swap stories with your fellow travellers from all over the world.
Bungle Bungle Caravan Park offers a secure and comfortable alternative to free camps allowing you to visit the wonders of the National Park safe in the knowledge that your caravan/motorhome and gear are safe and secure.
