Set within a State Forest and on the edge of Lake Brockman, this bush camping area is a perfect site to set up so you can enjoy boating, swimming, fishing and water skiing as well as bushwalking and exploring the nearby historic townships, all from this picturesque campground.

There are about 126 shaded, large level sites to choose from, depending upon whether you would prefer a bush or a lake view. There sites are suitable for tents and camper trailers, caravans and campervans. There are fire pits and bar-b-q plates for each site, and a common area with picnic tables and undercover gas bar-b-q provided.

There are toilets at the site, but no power, showers or potable water available, so you’ll need to be fairly self-sufficient. Supplies can be obtained at the nearby Cookernup general store or the townships of Harvey or Yarloop, both worthy of exploration for historic sites and displays. Harvey Visitor’s Centre has all the information on interesting places to see in the area – museums, cheese factory, wineries and the like.

The beautiful West Australian coastline beach of Billingup is also only a short drive away if you would like to change from the fresh to saltwater fishing and swimming and take a look at the coastal flora, fauna and birdlife.

To book in for the site, proceed past the campsite along the road to the Lake Brockman Tourist Park Office. Both sites are administered from there.
